This summer has seen 5G concerns increasing with regard to the ongoing rapid expansion of wireless technology worldwide, with European citizen action again leading the change-agents. Ukraine Citizens Demand a Ban on 5G Citing numerous 5G concerns a petition demanding a ban on 5G in the Ukraine has garnered the required 25,000 signatures for consideration by the President. As of 2:30 p.m. on July 6, the petition received 25,456 votes and was presented. “Without a clinically proven evidence base for the safety of this type of communication, please do not enter it in our country!” — stated in the text of the petition. Read more at TECH The petition to ban 5G in Ukraine received the necessary votes Russian Ministry of Health Recommends Banning Wi-Fi, Cell Phones in Schools Due to Radiation Health Risks The Medical Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian National Committee on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection, prepared the recommendations together with the Russian Ministry of Health.The information was provided to Children’s Health Defense by Professor Oleg Grigoriev , Dr.Sc, PhD, the Chairman for the Russian National Committee on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection. Opposition to 5G Growing in Europe International opposition to 5G has gained significant traction due to the published research showing harm from wireless frequencies. In addition a report commissioned by members of the European Parliament found conflicts with ICNIRP – an only 13 member private group that governments rely on for recommendations regarding wireless radiation. The new report released by European Members of Parliament Michèle Rivasi (Europe Écologie) and Dr. Klaus Buchner (Ökologisch-Demokratische Partei) accuses the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), an organization many governments consider an authority on the safety of 5G and cell phone radiation, of being under the influence of the telecommunications industry and ignoring the science showing their harmful effects. The Scientists and Citizen Groups Worldwide Calling to Halt 5G Hundreds of scientists are calling to halt 5G. In addition environmental groups are opposed to 5G due to the impact to trees, bees and birds. In Italy, over 500 municipalities have passed resolutions to halt 5G.In Ireland Six County Councils have voted to halt 5G: Clare, Roscommon, Leitrim, Wicklow, County Laois and Sligo County CouncilsSwitzerland refused to weaken their radiofrequency radiation limits to deploy 5G.In Turkey over 47.000 people signed a petition regarding a lawsuit 5G and health. In Greece, the Kalamata City Council decided not to continue the 5G pilot program after a three hour debate. News coverage: “The city council decided to suspend 5G in Kalamata”The Sierra Club of California has passed a resolution opposing 5G and the Washington DC Sierra Club testified in opposition to the 5G small cell rollout because of impacts to trees.In the United States the state of New Hampshire has a 5G Bill HB 522 that asks, “Why have 1,000s of peer-reviewed studies, including the recently published U.S. Toxicology Program 16-year $30 million study, that are showing a wide range of statistically significant DNA damage, brain and heart tumors, infertility, and so many other ailments, being ignored by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC)?” and, “Why have more than 220 of the worlds leading scientists signed an appeal to the WHO and the United Nations to protect public health from wireless radiation and nothing has been done?”The Washington DC Advisory 3/4G Committee passed a resolution “Opposing Small Cell Wireless and 5G Technology Without Studies Confirming Safety”. Washington DC 2E Advisory Council passed a resolution asking to minimize 5G small cells and require radiofrequency radiation measurements stating that “ANC 2E’s entire community will be subjected to involuntary radio frequency exposure and this exposure may have negative effects for people with radio frequency emission disabilities or sensitivities. ”International Society of Doctors for Environment issued a Declaration to Halt 5G in 2018. The environmental organization BUND is also calling for to stop 5G in Hamburg. Easton Connecticut and Farragut Tennessee have passed resolutions to halt 5G.
