Looking for the funding to launch your EMF business endeavors and good works? Check out the tremendous impact being achieved by world-wide EMF Projects building their success on “crowdsourcing”, or “crowdfunding”, a new term for online public funding, through monthly pledges or one-time gift donations.
From EMF Activism, to EMF Communities, to creative new EMF business start ups, to EMF lawsuits, to EMF non-profit organizations – all it takes is money. Or a patron.
Patreon was designed for these and other inspired purposes, to enable the “creators” of visionary objectives to allow supporters to become active participants in achievements they love to support by offering them a membership in the “creation”.
How Does Patreon Funding Differ from other familiar CrowdFunding Platforms?
This member/patron support, in the form of a modest ongoing monthly financial contribution, is what makes Patreon different from some other big ticket, short-term, crowdfunding campaigns like Indigogo or Kickstarter.
Kickstarter, for example, was the crowdfunding option that filmmaker Sabine El Gemayel used to raise $47,017 within a few months in 2016 to fund the production costs of her film “Generation Zapped“, the solution oriented documentary investigating health risks associated with WiFi in schools and other wireless technology.
Sabine’s 372 financial backers, which included us — EMF-Experts.com Protection and Detection Training for EMF Consultant Certification — contributed funds simply because of a shared belief in the importance of her endeavor. Together the total funds raised surpassed her stated initial funding campaign goal and enabled her to bring the Generation Zapped project to life.
For its part in the award winning film’s successful funding campaign, Kickstarter got a 5% transaction fee for their service, which, by the way, they only get if the funding goal is successfully achieved. The backers? Each was graciously publicly thanked in the film’s closing credits for their contribution this film and they received film-related gifts according to their pledge amount.
Patreon, is crowdfunding with a different twist – it’s more of an ongoing patronage membership for like-minded members to support ongoing creative projects, like education, citizen action, music, arts, etc., and so it is no surprise that the funding concept was originated by musicians Jack Conte and developer Sam Yam.
Patreon launched, which launched in 2013, announced on its website in August 2020 that it had over 200,000 creators, (all find-able by prospective fans in a searchable database). They provide this online patronage gathering place by charging a commission of 5 to 12 percent of creators’ monthly income, plus payment processing fees. Payouts occur via PayPal; memberships are billed on the first of each month (Wikipedia Info).
